2. Craft Vocabulary
Every listing names the exact weave technique — kadhwa, rangkat, meenakari, jamdani, tanchoi. A buyer who understands what they own, values it differently. We don't just sell you a saree. We want you to know it.
3. Women-Led
The Banarasi trade has historically been run by men. Chinaya Banaras was founded and led by Namrata Agrawal — a woman who wears these sarees. Built with a buyer's instinct, not a trader's margin. That difference shows.
4. Generational Craft
For 48 years, we've worked with the same Banarasi weaving families — watching their children learn the loom. That continuity keeps the craft consistent in ways no new brand can replicate quickly.
5. Customisation & Stitching
From fabric to finished garment, everything happens under our roof. Our in-house tailors stitch to your exact measurements. On select designs, colour customisation is available — worked directly through our manufacturing unit.

A real Banarasi sari carries centuries of craft, and you can feel it the moment you hold one. Chinaya Banaras has that feeling.
My sari is beautifully woven. The zari work is fine and even, the silk drapes softly, and the colours are rich without being loud. You can tell it was made by skilled karigars in Varanasi, not in a factory somewhere else. It was also reassuring to know the silk is Silk Mark certified.
When I wore it, [to a wedding / festival / family function], I got so many compliments, and people asked where it was from.
Thank you, Chinaya Banaras, for keeping this heritage alive and making it so easy to own a piece of it. I'll definitely be back

One of the best gifts I ever gave my mum. She doesn't skip a beat telling everyone how I, his son, a man, has a eye on what a good saree should be like. And honestly I don't. I just picked one that the website suggested and whose colour I liked. Thank you to the people behind chinaya for letting me get major brownie points from my mum.
